Shaky Hands

Dance4Life's picture

The other day my left hand was shaking quite noticeably.  I didn't feel nervous or anxious about anything, so I'm not sure if it was just adrenaline that made my hand shake.  Another possibility is low blood sugar.. but I had just finished eating a good meal, and I consider myself a pretty health conscious person so I don't see how that could be possible.  It was difficult for me to hold a drink steady in my left hand, not that the drink shook.. but it just took more effort to hold it.  Even today, I can't see my hand shaking, but trying to hold a drink in that hand is harder than it should be.  If anyone has had this happen to them, please let me know if I'm overlooking something.

another thought - could be a result of all the typing my job requires... maybe the muscles in my hands are tired of the typing position...

Have you been doing more typing lately than before? Did this continue during weekend (when I presume you weren't at work?)?  You might want to get checked out if this has been going on for a few days.

Not necessarily more typing, but I only started this job 6 months ago, so it might be an accumulating effect.  The first time I noticed it was just this past Saturday, so I wasn't at work.  I am currently at work, and I know my hand feels more fatigued when I type than when I am just reading something.  This is what led me to think it may be caused by typing, or the position in which I keep my hands.

thanks for your input.
