Feeling privileged to diet...

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has been through a diet and felt miserable all along...
My last attempt at a low carb diet succeeded precisely by focusing in feeling fortunate to diet...
Let me explain:
When I have a grilled chicken breast and a salad, I should be happy that I'm giving the best I can think of to my body (I know vegetarians will go a step beyond, but I admit on being hooked to meat), yet instead of feeling happy I think of all the things that I miss... like a good risotto, or some garlicky pasta to go with it all...
But this time I decided I'd focus on making the garnish to my entrees more appealing in order to succeed… After all, having that same chicken breast garnished by a beautiful roasted red pepper already makes it not only more colorful, but makes you go to the office refrigerator feeling like the luckiest kid in the school’s cafeteria…

I understand how hard it is to diet. I went on a yeast free (being pretty much food free) diet for 30 days to detoxify myself and shed a few pounds. I lived on water, celery, greens, and acceptable fruits. I shed 25 pounds and had more energy than I have had in a long time. And to taste food again after thirty days on this diet? .........Priceless

hi there,

losing 25 pounds in 30 days sounds a bit scary.

i like the idea of getting plenty of greens and fruits.

what did you cut out during that 30 day period that you were eating before you started the diet?
