Just got a call, I have sleep apnea

I just got a call from the sleep center. They said I have "severe" sleep apnea and I need to go back in. Scheduled the next appointment for tomorrow night.
I am a bit concerned but at the same time excited. At least I can hope to find some kind of treatment that will help my situation. I have heard of the CPAP machine, how useful is it going to be? How about the surgical options?

I don't know anything about the surgery options, but i know someone that had it done and it worked well for him. I would recommend at least trying CPAP first before surgery. The CPAP machine can be rented at first so if you do decide to have surgery you don't lose much on the CPAP rental.
