ringing in the ears

I have been to ear doctor, about the ringing in my ears, and he told me nothing can be done, I have tried  a number of products, that claim to help, but they dont, and each of these products I have bought cost $30.00 and up, but nothing helps.. any suggestions?

I have the same thing..There is nothing we can do to get rid of it..I have had this for about 11 yrs..I keep the TV on all day long for background noise. At night I have to sleep with a fan on..It helps to have some background noise!
