Constipation

I have been having an ongoing <three month> problem with constipation and excessive gas. They did some tests and found an ilius in my small intestine but are still unsure of cause of gas. There is nothing I can take with medication like a laxitive in it because of my compromised imune system from my transplants. does anyone have any tips?
