Insomnia

I have a major problem with insomnia. I drag through the day and promise myself that sleep will come early that evening. I lie awake waiting. I read until my eyes burn, and I listen to audiobooks for relief (and hopefully, sleep). I have stopped caffeine after 2pm, take soothing baths, lie in the quiet dark for hours, try everything to no avail! Any suggestions!

are you getting enough exercise?
have you tried meditation? when i meditate i fall asleep everytime without fail, just a matter of time :-)

Yes, I make sure to walk every night after work (not too close to bedtime, as it gives me energy), and have tried meditation (I end up thinking too much), but don't think I have that down. Maybe I should read up on meditation techniques?
