Hey Folks,
I am in need of a stress-free vacation where I can sit and enjoy amazing weather and beaches, but also do things like yoga on the beach, water exercises, runs on the beach, etc. Anybody been to vacation spot that offered such a thing and have a recommendation for me?? Thanks!!! Carly

i'd go to treasure island in st. petersburg, florida.... airfare is cheap, only 2 hour flight from DC and the beaches are awesome.... green/blue clear waters, many parts are only knee or waist deep 50 yards out!
stay at the http://www.doncesar.com/ it's a great hotel right on the beach.... they have a spa (massage, etc.....)
Thanks! I'll check it out
i almost forgot, they do have beach yoga too

Well, this is not beach, but you can try Arizona- it is a spa/resort mecca and there are several spas that offer yoga retreats, etc. If I could, when you do decide where to go, can you post? I am sure others would be interested for our own future vacation plans!
Cheers,
Julia
Another cool, stress-free destination is a resort called "Red Rock" in Las Vegas. Don't worry- It is not on the strip (but they have shuttle service to the strip)!
It is 1/2 hour away from the strip and offers beautiful pools with private cabanas.....and full service spa and fitness center. But the best thing they offer is called "Adventure Spa". They have activities like horseback riding, nature trails, hiking, kayaking, outdoor yoga etc. I believe for most of the activities, they take you into the canyon region.
The landscape is beautiful....a change from the east coast.
