suggestions for not becoming a meal for mosquitoes?

i don't know if it's just me, but the mosquitoes are really biting the last couple of weeks. i have gotten bitten all over my calves. it seems like i was just getting over one feeding frenzy when another batch struck.

short of wearing pants all the time (pun intended), do you have suggestions on how to avoid being bitten?
